List & Sell – adding items wanted/for sale
On supplies2go you can add an item you have for sale, or an item you are looking for. Items for sale will be displayed with your own supplied image (if supplied) and description, and will be visible for any potential buyers to see when they search the site. Buyers will then contact you regarding the transaction.

If you list an item you are looking for, Supplies2Go will email you as soon as that item is listed by anyone else.

After you have registered and logged in you can add or edit your items for sale/wanted in the Members options page

Click on the add/edit items for sale/wanted button
Either click on your displayed item(s) if you have previously listed items or click on ‘add’ or ‘edit’ in for sale or wanted on the member control panel in the top left of your screen

Step one
In the add product page you can browse your hard drive for an image you have downloaded from a camera or camera-phone to your PC. Press the ‘add image’ button when you have located your image and it will be added to your listing. You can add up to 4 images per item.
step two Step two – supporting file
You can add a supporting file which could be a text file, another image file or a description or certificate of authenticity, using the same steps as above
step three Step 3 – info
Choose the category which suits your item.
Choose whether you are selling this item or posting it to the ‘wanted’ list.
Give your product a name – It is important to be accurate at this stage as this will match with any keywords other users will be using to search for this item

Step 4 – Product description.
Describe your item in as much detail as possible – its size, colour, weight, specification, model number, what condition it is in – new, used, worn, as new etc.

Also how many of these are for sale and how much you would charge to deliver or post the item.

It is important to be as detailed and honest as possible about your listing to ensure that there are no disputes.

Please choose whether you will be charging VAT on top of the listing price and be able to provide a VAT invoice to the seller.

Please tick if you can deliver and specify in the product description box which areas you will cover.
If you are listing a wanted item, please state which areas you are willing to collect from.

Step 5 - Show on site
Tick this box if you want your listing to go live. You can uncheck the box if you will be listing this item in the future but do not want it shown presently.

Click ‘Add product’ and your item is then listed

Superquote
This feature allows users to write a single or multiple list of items required, and send it to up to 20 suppliers in your chosen area(s).
You will then receive a number of emails allowing you to compare the prices.

Choose a category for the item(s)you require a quote on.
If you have items which are not in the same category, choose multiple categoties

Choose a location(s) in which you wish to limit your search. Hold ctrl and click multiple locations if required.

Choose how many suppliers you wish to receive your list of requirements, or click ‘All’.

In the ‘email body text box’, please add as much detail as possible, including quantities and location of delivery/collection and your email or telephone number.

Click on ‘Send quote requests by email’ to complete.

You should recieve replies within 1-2 working days

This feature could save you hours in phone calls and £’s in savings on your purchases.

Advertise your services in ‘Tradefinder’
For a small annual fee, you can display a web page which will tell other users and potential customers about your activities. Images can be added to this page if required. The page is self maintained so changes can be made as often as possible.

Login and click ‘edit your webpage’ on the members control panel.
Click on ‘add new content to your webpage’
This opens a new box to enter information in a section of your webpage.

Give the section a title in the section title box

Type out the content of your section in the section content box. This text can be re-sized and coloured using the tools shown. Highlight the text you wish to manipulate and click on the appropriate tool(s)

Click on ‘add section’ and this will be added to your page.

Your page is displayed to other users when their search includes the keywords you have used in your description.

Editing your webpage
Click on ‘edit your homepage’ in the members control panel and click on ‘edit’ next to the page you wish to change.

You can then add images or photos to any section of your home page.

Browse your hard drive for a suitable image on your PC. Press the ‘add image’ button when you have located your image and it will be added to your homepage.

Adding credits to your account
Click on ‘buy more credits’ in the member options page or at the top of the screen. You can purchase one or numerous credits using paypal. If you don’t have a paypal account click here.

Fees
Unlike other sites, we do not charge a final value fee to our listings. We do not list items on an auction. A flat fee is charged for listings for an advertising period of 60 days.

Supplies2Go prices
A flat rate of £1 per listing is charged by supplies2go for 60 days’ advertising (unless the user is a ‘PowerVendor’ – see below).
No hidden final valuation fees or percentages are taken by Supplies2Go.

PowerVendor fees
Powervendors are users paying a monthly, quarterly or annual fee:

Supplies2Go is a site that matches buyers with sellers. We do not handle payments or any deliveries for transactions made by our members. If you have found items you wish to purchase, it is important to finalise the method of delivery or collection before the transaction is completed. A seller may offer delivery but you should make sure you are aware of the costs (if any) before purchasing.

You have to register and log in to use the full funtionality of this site. This also allows you to recieve email alerts when items you may be looking for have been listed. A forum is available for users to exchange tips or ask advice from other members.

Browse & Buy
There is no need to Register or Login if you just want to ‘Browse & Buy’.
Use the product search box to search for specific items, or use the menus on the left side of the screen to browse a category, eg. Building Materials.

When you have found the item you wish to purchase, click on the image for a larger view or click on ‘more info’ to see other images and descriptions.

If the item you are looking for is not listed, you can add your item under ‘Items Wanted’ – an email alert will then be sent to you as soon as that item appears on Supplies2Go – but you will need to Register before you can do this.

If you have found an item you are interested in, if the member has a web page on Supplies2go, there will be the option to click on ‘member info’, which will then take you to their webpage and display other items they have for sale.

When you are ready to make the purchase, contact the member by clicking ‘contact member about this item’ This will open a new contact page and you will be asked to enter your name and email address. It is also possible to leave your telephone number. You can type a question if you wish.
Alternatively the member may have their telephone details on display, in which case they would be happy to recieve calls.

Payment and delivery/collection is left for the buyer and seller to arrange. Supplies2go accept no responsibility for either payments or deliveries and collections, nor makes any warranty whatsoever in respect of any statements made by buyers or sellers, the quantity, quality or condition of any goods or true title or ownership thereof.

Powervendors are users paying a monthly, quarterly or annual fee. The Powervendor facility allows users unlimited use of all the features on the site including receiving ‘SuperQuote’ enquiries, a detailed web page describing your services, listings in the services offered and unlimited listings on the main site ‘for sale’ area.

(The SuperQuote feature allows users to write a single or multiple list of items required, and send it to all or selected suppliers in their chosen area(s)).

If a Powervendor has a Supplies2go account in the area the buyer has specified, he will then receive an email describing their requirements.

It is recommended that your response should be made within 24hrs to ensure the success of this feature.

Powervendors can display a web page which will tell potential customers about their activities. Images can be added to this page if required.

Click on the topic heading to enter that discussion.
Click on post reply to add your question or reply.
Click on ‘add your reply’ to finish

Start a new topic
Click ‘start new topic’ button in the forum page.
You will then need to enter a topic title and the start of the discussion in the ‘topic body’ text box
