When I first added my advert to Supplies2Go I was also prompted to try and sell any leftover stock I had in my yard. As storing these leftovers this was starting to become a problem, because they are too valuable to through away but also they take up valuable space to store, I thought why not?

So I spent a day photographing all of my leftovers and reclaimed materials and listed them on the site. The results I started to get within 4 weeks were impressive. I now receive an average of 5 email enquiries a day and also phone calls with enquiries from as far away as Inverness for my reclaimed stock and leftovers.

People are happy to also pay for carriage, I have linked up with my local branch of PalletForce and they come to my new yard and collect the pallets and deliver them on to my customers.

We used to pay for a skip when we stripped a roof to throw away old concrete tiles but now we have bought a trailer and we bring them back to the yard and palletise them and put them on the site. These tiles sell to people who do not want to see a new line of tiles on their roof when extending their houses.

Since we started with Supplies2Go we have increased our turnover by 25% and moved to a larger premises with more space. We have also started a Sister company – Eastwell Roofing Supplies to deal with the reselling part of our business.

This re-selling has enabled us to bulk buy on new materials for our own contracts- therefore getting the best rates. We also sell these materials on to anyone who wants them.

We tried ebay but found that the 10 day auctions were not quite long enough to sell some items. Also they try to get more money out of you when you do sell an item. When we had spent £75 on Ebay in one month and not had a sale, I knew it was time for something different.

To add to that if someone types in ‘Roofing contractor Melton Mowbray’ we are in the first results page on Google which is worth its weight in Gold!!

I would recommend Supplies2Go to anyone, It has been very profitable to us and helped us clear out a load of old stock as well.

This is a fantastic site to get rid of and sell un-used items. As you can imagine being an electrician I tend to have a lot of products / items left over from jobs which I would normal throw away and bin or keep on the off chance I might need to use them on another job. And before you know it I have a lock-up full of stock.

I found this site and subscribed to a dual package Home page and unlimited listing at a fantastic one off annual fee. This meant I could have an advertising page to inform people who I am and the line of work I in with the area I cover. At the same time giving me the option to list and sell all my stock. Compared to e-bay I would have paid through the roof for this kind of service and awareness of my business with the search engines that are out there.

I had my home page and all my items listed with Supplies2go with ease, and if I needed any assistance I also had the peace of mind that I could call or email the admin staff there.
This meant that I saved money on valuable storage space and turned all my liabilities into an asset within just a few weeks.

I would recommend anyone in the building trade that has anything just lying around in a storage unit collecting dust to do the same.

I also came across a few Ex-display Magnet kitchens for a job I was doing so I listed them on the site and I have had a phenomenal response. Most of these kitchens have now been sold. I have also noticed that the kitchens themselves have a front page listing with Google.
This truly is a great site for turning your left over materials into cash
